As it “turnips” out, there’s a salad for every season year-round. Nothing “beets” the crunch of a hearty winter root vegetable medley … it’s just so satisfying. And root veggies aren’t only delicious, they’re rich in antioxidants too, so February is as fine a time as any other.
Just ask our friends at Farmscape. They’ll be down at the Farmers Market, at the FivePoint booth this Sunday, demonstrating how to make a winter detox salad with ingredients from our local market vendors. Don’t miss your chance to learn from the pros, then go shopping at the market so you can make your own detox salads at home. And get a healthy winter glow on while you’re at it.
